Genuine Mazda Lubricant

Genuine Mazda Lubricant has been tested specifically for the corresponding engine to meet the company’s strict specifications and high quality standards. For this reason, we always recommend the use of Genuine Mazda Lubricant, which contains special additives to reduce friction that is the cause of energy loss and engine wear. Using Genuine Mazda Lubricant offers fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions on the one hand, and ensures engine protection and Mazda driving performance on the other. In particular:

For petrol models: Dexelia Genuine 5W-30, Dexelia 10W-40 (your Authorised Repairer will advise you on the appropriate one). For diesel models: Dexelia Genuine 5W-30 DPF.

Original Batteries

An empty or defective battery is the most common cause of car failure. Therefore, getting your battery to work properly should be a priority.

Genuine batteries meet strict quality and safety standards and are extremely reliable. Even during the winter months, when batteries are “stressed” due to low temperatures and humidity, a genuine battery will start immediately.

Battery purchase

Although cheaper batteries are tempting, they may end up costing you more over the lifetime of your car, as they need to be replaced more often. Your Official Mazda Dealer will supply you with a genuine battery that is specifically made for your car’s model and engine. They will also take care of recycling your old battery.

Extend the life of your battery

Keep your battery surfaces clean and dry.
When you park your car, make sure you turn off the lights, radio, heating and air conditioning.

If you have a low-maintenance (open type) battery, top up with distilled water from time to time. Please take extra care, wearing protective goggles and gloves.
If your car does not start, contact your nearest Mazda Authorised Repairer. They will be there for you.

Brakes Mazda

Both your safety and the safety of your passengers rely on the ability to stop your vehicle immediately and in a timely manner. Therefore, the proper functioning of your braking system is of vital importance to your car.

Brake pads and calipers gradually wear out every time you brake. To ensure that they function properly, you should be advised to use the brake pads and the brake fluids in your brake system.

The brake components are covered by other parts of your car and it is not easy for you to check them. For this reason, visit an Official Mazda Dealer for a full and thorough inspection.

Brake System Efficiency

Low-quality brakes can prove to be as unpredictable as the road you drive on. The comparison table* illustrates how Mazda Genuine Brake Pads ensure excellent braking efficiency.

Regulations for the use of lights (during the day)

In many countries the use of lights is required throughout the day. For this reason, it is essential to equip your Mazda with lamps that work equally well during the day and at night.

The new generation of Genuine Lamps meets all European standards and offers an even safer driving experience.

Daytime running light regulations vary between European countries:

Compulsory at all times: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Skopje – FYROM, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (in IP 5), Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Slovenia.
Required on motorways and out of town: Italy, Romania, Russia, Hungary, Romania and Russia.
They are required during winter: Croatia and Bulgaria.
Recommended but not mandatory: Switzerland, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Switzerland.

Warning: legislation is subject to change. Please check the current regulations of the country you intend to visit.

Original Lamp Kit

We recommend that you have a lamp kit in your car, so that you can replace a faulty lamp quickly and easily. The small and handy kit contains all the bulbs you may need, as well as instructions on the light fixtures to which each bulb corresponds. When changing a bulb, we recommend using a soft cloth or tissue when changing a bulb, as contact of the bulb surface with your fingers will reduce its lifespan.

Equip your Mazda with spare bulbs the next time you visit an Authorized Mazda Dealer.

Mazda Cabin Filters

The Mazda cabin filter “removes” air pollutants from your car, protecting the air quality of the passenger cabin.

Located under the dashboard, behind the passenger glove box or in the engine compartment, it is an important “factor” in the Mazda Ventilation System. The cabin filter is used to remove pollutants and other harmful elements – such as dust, pollen and soot – from the interior of your vehicle, as well as absorbing odours and gases such as ozone.

Ozone and pollen grains can cause headaches and allergic reactions, especially during the summer months. Roads with heavy traffic are also a major source of pollution. Therefore, if you spend a lot of time on the road, you may find yourself in a lot of traffic.

Changing the Mazda Cabin Filter

Over time, the passenger cabin air filter becomes less efficient and unclean as dust particles are deposited on the filter’s paper surface, resulting in an unpleasant odor, reduced heating and air conditioning efficiency due to restricted air flow.

Cabin filters should be replaced every two years or every 40,000 kilometres – even more often if you primarily drive in areas with elevated levels of pollution or dust. Your Mazda Authorised Repairer will advise and install the right filter for you.

Genuine Mazda Engine Oil

Every Mazda car has different requirements regarding lubricants, depending on the model, engine and oil change frequency.

In order to achieve maximum fuel economy and optimum performance of your engine, we have developed the new range of Genuine Mazda Engine Oil.

Dexelia, the new range of Genuine Mazda Lubricants, has been tested on all Mazda models and meets all quality and warranty specifications.

Dexelia engine oils are Fuel Economy lubricants

This means that they save energy and therefore act as fuel savers. Indeed, with a common engine oil, in urban driving or when starting the engine, about 40% of the energy is consumed by the vehicle due to engine friction. Fuel Economy lubricants contain special additives used to reduce friction, which is responsible for energy loss and engine wear. With a fuel economy oil, the engine does not need much energy to start. This results in both a reduction in fuel consumption (and CO2 emissions) and a longer engine life for your vehicle.

Whether you are interested in an oil change or a supplement, Mazda Dexelia Original Oil should be your first choice. Your Official Mazda Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Official Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia Dexelia will advise you on the optimum type of Dexelia for your vehicle and will arrange for the safe disposal of the old oil and recycling of the packaging. Equip your Mazda with a 1 litre pack of Dexelia and top up engine oil yourself if required.

Mazda Fuel Filters

Good engine operation depends heavily on a highly efficient fuel filter. Without it, there is a risk of reduced engine power, slow acceleration, poor economy

What are the dangers of worn shock absorbers?

Increased braking distance
Unstable grip on the road
Increased tyre wear
Tiring driving

Loss of shock absorber functionality is difficult to notice, but it can compromise your safety. Mazda Official Dealers have the latest diagnostic equipment to check your vehicle’s shock absorbers. You can request to have your shock absorbers checked at your next service

Mazda wipers

Almost all decisions while driving are based on good, unobstructed visibility on the road. Therefore, it is important that your windshield is as clean as possible.

Genuine Mazda Wipers provide optimum visibility. They are designed to have an excellent fit to the sharp curves and slopes of today’s aerodynamic windscreens, while ensuring even better cleaning.

Maintenance of Mazda wipers

The performance of the wipers can be reduced by:

ozone, air pollutants, sun and dust, which reduce the life of wipers, even if they are not used frequently
very low temperatures, which can cause the tyres to crack or tear, and
very high temperatures, which may deform the tyres.

Worn wipers are dangerous and should therefore be replaced every six to twelve months, even if you live in areas with reduced rainfall. A test of your windscreen cleaning system can be included in your regular winter and summer checks.

Tips for a longer life of windshield wipers:

Do not use the wipers to remove ice from your windshield. Use Genuine Mazda De-icer to remove ice and prevent it from forming, again, on your windshield.

Do not use the wipers on a dry windshield. If you want to remove dust or dirt from your windshield, first use the water spray system to which you have added Mazda Genuine Screen Washer so that the wipers can move more smoothly.

Visit an Authorized Dealer for more information about Mazda Genuine Screen Wipers.
